Meet Dr. Don

Dr. Don Walsh, DC, MD, MBBS, Dip. Med. Ap. is a licensed chiropractor and the Clinic Director of New Smyrna Spine & Injury Center. Dr. Don graduated from The University of North Florida with a degree in Biology and a Minor in Psychology. While there, he conducted independent research in the salt water marshes of the Jacksonville area. After graduating from UNF, Dr. Don attended the Palmer College of Chiropractic Florida where he earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree and graduated with Cum Laude honors. He was awarded the Clinical Excellence Award and Clinical Teaching Award by his professors.

Since graduation from Palmer College of Chiropractic, Dr. Don earned both a Diplomate and a Fellowship with the International Academy of Medical Acupuncture and is licensed to perform acupuncture.

In addition to holding the Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) degree, Dr. Don has also earned his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree (cum laude) and his MBBS degree (cum laude) from the University of Arts, Science and Technology. While Dr. Don is not yet licensed to practice medicine in the state of Florida, he is in the process of becoming licensed.

Dr. Walsh holds certifications in both the Cox Decompression Technique and also the Kennedy Decompression Technique. Dr. Don has earned his Advanced Whiplash and Mild Traumatic Brain Injury certification from the Spine Research Institute of San Diego and continues to take post doctoral classes on automobile accident injuries and treatment options, MRI/CT interpretation, triaging trauma patients, documentation of the trauma patient and many other trauma related areas from schools around the USA including Harvard Medical School.

Dr. Don is an accredited presenter by the Florida Bar to present attorneys continuing legal education (CLE) in automobile accident trauma and recovery protocols as well as disc herniations and other disc pathologies.

He is a member of the Florida Chiropractic Physicians Association, Harvard Post-Doctoral Association and The Rotary International.

Dr. Don focuses his practice on automobile accident injury victims, disc herniations and bulges, back pain, neck pain, sciatica, scoliosis, headaches including migraines, sports injuries and dizziness.
